Configuring VPN MAX Autostart

Download Shortcuts app from App Store and go to
Automation menu by tapping the clock icon at the bottom of the screen.

Tap Create Personal Automation, then find App in the list and tap it.

In the new window make sure Is Opened is ticked and tap Choose.

Begin entering the app name (in our case, Instagram) and select it, then tap Done in the top right corner. Tap Next in the top right corner.

Tap Add Action.

Begin entering VPN MAX and select the app by tapping its name. Tap Connect VPN.

Make sure the parameters read Connect VPN and tap Next.

Drag the slider next to Ask Before Running to inactive position. Confirm your choice in the new window..

After setting the automation up, close and restart VPN MAX. Done! VPN MAX will automatically turn off when closing Instagram.

Now you need to create another command to turn VPN MAX off automatically when closing the app.

Setting up VPN MAX automatic turn-off

Make sure Is Closed, is ticked, but untick the parameter next to it. Tap Next in the top right corner.

Tap Add Action.

Begin entering VPN MAX and select the app by tapping its name. Tap Disconnect VPN. Tap Next.

Drag the slider next to Ask Before Running to inactive position. Confirm your choice in the new window.

After setting the automation up, close and restart VPN MAX. Done! VPN MAX will automatically turn off when closing Instagram.
